The Saga Continues
So after my little mishap with my goofy mountings. I had to get my snowboard remounted into a normal stance. I made some calls around to the local sporting good store to get a price quote on remounting my board. Finally, I ended up going to Paragon Sporting Goods because they said they would re-mount my bindings for free. When I first went into the store, they stopped me to give me a ticket for my board. I was suppose to ask for this guy “P” who was going hook me up with my mountings. But he was out for the day. Instead this other girl re-positioned my binding stance. I felt obliged to ask how much it would cost for the re-mounting. And she said it was free of charge.
On my way, I got stopped by this guy who asked me for my work ticket. And I was like what work ticket. In the end, he called the manager who had dragged the snowboarding gal to fill out a work ticket for me. So they ended up charging me $15.00 for the re-mounting. I was a bit pissed, but I didn’t make a scene because I knew the snowboarding gal was just trying to hook me up. And I had no idea that they usually charge for these services. Seriously, if I knew it was going to cost $15.00 to re-mount my stance, I would had just gone to Blade and Board which would have cost me $5.00. I really don’t have an issue about paying for a service, but I think it should be priced according the labor. And frankly, it only took the girl less then 3 minutes to re-mount my board. Paragon could have listed their prices so that I would have the option of denying service based on cost. Even the snowboard girl thought it was ridiculous to charge me $15.00. I mean it’s paragon, it’s a small step above Sports Authority. Dude! If I’m going to pay that much to re-mount my bindings, I mind as well go to the overpriced Princeton Ski Shop. Ha ha. Never shop at Paragon Sporting Goods store, they’re a total rip off.
