Blast from the Past
Ah! Thrift Stores are evil. They’re just as bad as yard sales.
- Here’s a list of my new acquisitions:
- The Rough Guide to Moscow
- The Rough Guide to St. Peterburg
- hello midnight - an insomniac’s literary bedside companion
- candy - a novel by Luke Davies
- Tommy Page CD - Painting In My Mind
- Tommy Page CD - and from the Heart
All this for a total of $15.70. Not bad!
You’ve caught me, I was a Tommy Page fan when I was a teenager. After listening to his CD this evening, I realize how cheesy some of the lyrics were. I guess we all go through that boy band phase. At least he writes his own songs and plays an instrument. That said, Tommy Page rocks, and today’s boy bands suck. I know I’ll probably get a lot flack for that statement. But I doubt any teeny boppers are lurking around on this page.
I don’t know why I don’t have any will power when it comes to books. I guess it’s the allure or the fact it was 50% off the deep discounted price.. I couldn’t help picking up a copy of the hello midnight, for the insomniac in me.
