It Happened So Fast…
I knew it was bound to happen. My days of unemployment have ended and I must now head back in the real world. Okay, I’m being a bit melodramatic.
- So this is the story, of how my days of being a slacker had ended.
- Monday: I applied for a job via the Nytimes.com
- Tuesday: The company had called me to set up an interview with someone from their UK office for Thursday
- Thursday: I had my first interview. Schedule my 2nd interview for the following dayFriday: I had my 2nd interview. By 3pm, I got an offer
It was unbelievable how fast it happened. I wish all interview processes were that quick. I can’t help it. But I’m in cloud 9 right now. As you can imagine, I’m bouncing up and down walls. I can’t help feeling very giddy. It’s been 10 long months, but I’m finally employed. Yipee!!!! I According to the book What Color is Your Parachute?, less then 10 percent of people get jobs via classified section. I have defy the odds of finding a job via the classified section of a newspaper. And I’m proud of it. Yipee!!! I guess I should have had that cup of tea with sugar this afternoon.
So I have one more week to slack off. Sleep in. And do nothing. Believe me, I am going to take full advantage of it.
