Innocence

Today, was just another day of errands. I got a bit late and decided not to go to the gym. I know that’s really bad. But a day off couldn’t hurt. So I went out to the city to get some of my errands done before my trip. On the train, I saw this little girl and she was so cute. She just took out these 2 stuffed animals to show her friend. I guess it was the manner she did it that was so cute. It was so carefree and that nothing can hurt her in this world. I guess I’ve just been a little bit more edgy lately. I’m just trying not to show it. And I just feel that I have taken some of my freedoms for granted. You see, I’ve been reading these guidebooks about London and all they talk about is pickpocketers. I don’t know why I have really never been concern about that here in NYC. I just reminds me that I just need to be a little more cautious these days.

Missing

It’s missing, my favorite pen. *breathe* *breathe* *breathe* I know it’s just a writing utensil. And you’re probably saying that there are plenty of them out there. First of all, the store that sales this pen doesn’t always have it in stock. I got this pen about 5 years ago

And it is the:
- most comfortable pen that I have to write with.
- your handwriting comes out extra fine, neat and narro
- all in one pen, (blue and red ink with a mechanical pencil too)

It’s the pen I wish I had in college. It would have come in handy. But now it’s missing. I go through my phases with my pens. Sometimes it’s comfortable to write with for a short period of time, then I just move onto the next. But not this pen. It’s my favorite. And now it’s gone. It’s not an expensive pen. Well kind of. It cost about $8 dollars, but then again that was about 5 years ago. I just hope they didn’t discontinue the line, then I really really will be upset. Bah hum bug! Well I’m just going to go sulk.
Okay I’m back.

Hmm.. where can it be . I’ve looked everywhere. Then it was lost, but now it’s been found. So happy. So where was it. Don’t know what made me look under my blankets on my bed. But it was there. That’s all that matters. Now the day can really go on.

Murphy’s Law

I knew that it was too good to be true that I was having such a good day. As soon as I got on the train, Murphy’s Law went into full effect. Everything that can go wrong went wrong. I was deleting a program, when my palm decided to crash on me. That’s okay, because I can always sync it when I get home. While, syncing my palm, my computer decided to go kaput. I had a hard drive failure. So I ended up spending my next 2 hours trying to get my computer back up. So here I am right now. I don’t know how long this is going to last. I just know that I’m afraid to turn my computer off. On top of that, I can’t open some of the images on my compact flash card. My computer gives me an error message to restart my computer. Which I know I’m not going to, considering my current situation. I don’t know what else can go wrong to day. *Knock* *Knock* on wood. Just in case. You never can be so sure what might strike next.

Bleah =d !

So one of my friend who has too many screen names has been complaining that I bleah too much =d. But I think I have much to bleah about today. As of today, my unemployment insurance officially ends. Bleah ! On my way out of the library to the subway station, I get stuck in a thunder storm. Bleah, again! I’m so not a happy camper right now. It all started with my disappointing US Open tennis weekend.

Sleeping Beauty

Afer 2 weeks of insomnia. I’ve finally been getting a decent night sleep lately. And yesterday, was definitely the most sleep I’ve gotten in while. I woke up this more after being asleep for 12 hours. That’s probably as much sleep I usually get in 2 days. But I feel so rested right now.

Nothing exciting really happened this weekend. I’ve pretty much have been vegging in front of the tv watching tennis. Well it’s official. Lleyton Hewitt just won the US Open. The semi finals wasn’t that interesting this year on both the mens and woman side. All the competitors won in straight sets. The quarterfinals was a lot more interesting to watch.

Bah Hum Bug!

You can say that again. First, Agassi loses to Sampras, and Roddick to Hewitt. So I’m not in a very great mood. Everyone I was rooting for lost. Bah Hum Bug! I went to see the Nicole Kidman movie “the Others” by myself. I really didn’t want to go by myself. I really thought I was going be really spooked. But I got tired of waiting to see if anyone wanted to go with me. I’m strange like that. I go see movies by myself sometimes. So on with my crappy day. I bought a magazine, and the newstand guy try to cheat me out of a nickel. I could really care less about the nickel. But I was really mad because of the principle of the matter. So I get on the train heading home, and of course our train stops in the middle of the Manhattan bridge because some buffoon in the train ahead of us had pulled the emergency break. So we’re stuck on this bridge for a good 20 minutes. As soon as we pull into the next station, passengers from the previous train boarded. I was sitting at the last seat by the door. This girl sat on the banister and the end of seats. Sticking her butt in my face. As result, I accidentally shoved the lady sleeping next to me with my elbow. I apologize for nudging her and told her that the girl was trying to sit on me. The girl had the audacity to say that I had enough room. I said well if I did, I wouldn’t have been rudely shoved into this lady. And that was it. But the saga continues. So as we pull into the next local stop, the train car that I was in had trouble closing the doors. And if it couldn’t get worse, the train went out of service. As I got off the train there was barely any room to stand on platform. Of course, this woman behind had a problem with it. She kept on telling to move. I said there was no room to move at all. And she had insisted that there was plenty of room in front of me. It didn’t seem that she really got the concept. So I snapped back that she may think there was room, but in order for me to move I have to wait for the person in front of me to move as courtesy. Then I stormed out of the train station. I figured it would probably quicker for me to take the bus. Maybe not! There were so many people double parked that it took the bus forever to manuever around the cars. So I gave up, and got off the bus, and started walking home. Bah Hum Bug!

And as of today I’m still not a happy camper. I was rooting for Jennifer Capriati in the semi-finals. But she lost to Venus Williams. The only good thing I did today was go see the movie “The Musketeers.” The fight scenes were amazing. Imagine if they did that with light sabers in Star Wars.

Match Point

So where shall I begin. This past August, I attended my first live sporting event. And I have to say it was way cool. My college buddy had scored free tickets from his company for the night session of the US Open. Andre Agassi and Serena Williams were the headline matches that night. It’s not very much different from watching it on television. Except that you felt the energy and excitement of the stadium. Most interestingly, the players had taken breaks coinciding with commerical breaks. During the breaks with my binoculars in hand, I went celebrity sighting around the stadium. Suprisingly, I spotted P. Diddy (aka Sean “Puffy” Combs) without his entourage, but that didn’t last very long. After the Serena Williams match, Brandy and her brother Ray J. were approached by several fans court side requesting her autograph. Some other notable celebrities in the stands were Alec Baldwin, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Billie Jean King . But there was no sign of Steffi Graf during the Agassi match.
