Me, Myself, and I

After a week of events, I’m finally back in the office today. Not for long, though. I’m actually gearing for a charity event to be held in Wall Street tomorrow. Seriously, my
co-workers must think I’m strange, because I was running around the office today talking to myself. That’s only because, when I start get closer to a deadline, I’m going over my checklist out loud. I just want to make sure that I got every detail down pat. Then again, it didn’t help that I had a cup of earl grey tea with 4 packs of sugar around 3pm. So you can imagine me on sugar overload. It would have been much worse if I had some coffee. Ahh… caffeine. (looks at the computer screen with a glazed look).

Aside from that, I’m pretty excited about tomorrow. Dominic Chianese aka Uncle Jr. from the HBO show the Sopranos will be at the event. I actually, searching for his album for the event tomorrow. Suprisingly, it actually sold out at most music stores. After calling several music stores in the City, I located a copy at Virgin Megastore which I immediately placed a hold.

Till next time. I got to get some sleep before tomorrow.

Game Over

Well the Olympic games are finally over. I guess I can now get back to my normal schedule. I’m still kind of phooey, about Apolo Anton Ohno losing his last two matches. He’s much more interesting to watch then Sara Hughes. But then again, he nose is pretty huge, kind of like Paula Jones. I guess the tabloids are going to start picking on her. Hmm…. I much prefer watching Sasha Cohen though.

Bah!

Vegging

So after a sort of long week, I decided to go veg out to watch Queen of the Damned. It was okay. But a lot of inconsistent with the book, especially in regards the maker of each vampire. And I think it would have helped if they introduced the ancient vampires. And they try to create a love story between Lestat and Jesse, which never existed. At least Interview with the Vampire, was closer to the book. I think these vampires were more believable then Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. And I’m sorry, but there is no way Antonio Banderas can play Armand. The Vampire Armand, became a vampire at the age of 17, and has a face of cherubin. Sorry, but no matter how many face lifts, Antonio won’t look 17. Seriously, he should at least have a wrinkle by now. And he definitely does not have a face of an angel, even though you might differ with my opinion. Why can’t people just age gracefully like Robert Redford.

Sleep Deprivation

I woke up this morning, and bought a copy of the Sunday, New York Times. Which I have yet to finish, because I ended up sleeping all afternoon. Getting up early since this Thursday to Saturday, had finally caught up with me. I kind of got up late, though 8 am is still a bit early for some other people. Yah… yah… yah.

Quality vs. Expense

The past three Sundays, I have been buying a copy of the Daily News. I think I need to start to read the New York Times again. It’s a much more interesting paper. Indeed it’s a much more objective paper. I don’t know. When I read the Daily News, I feel like they’re very subjective. Oh wells.

What can I say…

In the past two days, I’ve been getting up at 5:30 in the morning for work. Last night, I had a bit of trouble getting to sleep. Since the Olympics have been on, I’ve been working around the olympic schedule these past 2 weeks. I was anxiously awaiting the main event of ladies figure skating. Last night, I was quite disappointed that Michelle Kwan had lost 2002 Olympics to Sara Hughes aka the Tara of 2002. Speaking of Tara, most people really don’t remember her. Wonder if Hughes popularity with wane with time. Like my other, asian counterparts, we were very upset when Michelle lost. I guess you can say, her lost was our lost. I think I was bothered that she won bronze as oppose to silver. It was a pretty confusing scoring procedure. Frankly, I would have been less upset if Sasha Cohen one. It my obligation, to root for my fellow petite gal. She’s only 4′11.

But, I was up chatting with the Fashion guru. He and the Twins are pretty disturbed by the results of the competition. Sadly, Michelle will be retiring after this Olympics. I’ll be fine when Apollo Anton Ohno wins another medal. Got to root for my asian counterparts even if they’re mixed.

Got a question for you to ponder about. Why does Society see Tiger Woods as Black, as oppose to Asian?

TGIF

All I have to say is TGIF. My feet are aching. I’ve been standing for about 8 hours today. Yesterday, I was wearing heel boots, and today I was wearing my loafers. My feet feel like they are in heaven in my loafers except when I’m standing in them all day. When I got home yesterday, I soaked my feet. Maybe, it wasn’t a good idea to be on my computer while my feet was dipped in water. I guess I was lucky I wasn’t electrocuted.

Woo hoo! My first event is over. It was fun. I kept on losing my scissors. But they eventually turned up. Usually under some kind of paper. My next event is on Monday, and I have that fancy smancy soiree on Thursday.

Mating Call

Ar….OOO…. Ahhh.. Ahhhh!!!!! Let’s just say, not only was I subjected to someone’s fat trying to sit on me. But I had to witness this guy trying to mack on this girl on the train. It took him about 3 or 4 stops to work up the courage to speak to the girl. But when he did he couldn’t stop talking. Let’s just say that she gave him the ultimate blow off: The I’m just not ready. At least she was nice about. Personally, I think he was overcome by his primate instinct when he set his eyes on her. She was a slim chickie in a tight turtle neck sweater. Why she was wearing a turtleneck in 60 degree weather, is beyond me.

Till next time

Space Invasion

For those of you that know me personally. You know how I’m very big on personal space. After getting on the train, this obese lady kept on shoving her bag in my face. And let’s just say I’m not a happy camper. Instead of holding her bag on the side, she could have the consideration to put it front of her. And she was definitely overweight. Her excess fat, was sitting on the rail of the side pole. Bleh!

Heels No More

So I wore my 3 inch heel boots to my event today. I thought they were broken in yesterday. But I had no idea that I would be standing all day. And let’s just say that my feet are not in a very happy mood. I’m going to be wearing flats tomorrow, and I don’t care. Explain to me, why a drag queen would want to wear heels. Why would anyone ever want to subject themselves to that kind of unecessary pain. For fashion I guess. Phish Posh!
