Size Matters

Today, I went out with the sole mission of finding a new pair of sneakers. And let me tell you size matters. (If you thought otherwise, then you need to get your mind out of the gutter. ha ha =d ) After an exhaustive search I ended up with nothing. I went to about 6 or 7 sporting good stores, and none of them had a size 6. Is that too much to ask. Do I have to go to the kids section to find a pair of sneakers. Hey.. I know you’re laughing. Kind of think about it, I can probably find some stuff that fits me in Gap Kids. Their overalls are a much better fit.

I guess the search will continue, tomorrow.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream

Okay, folks! Did everyone get their free cone today from Ben & Jerry’s. Well I did. I had the option of trying 2 new flavors “One Sweet Whirled” or “The Fully VerMonty.” But instead, I opted for my usual Sweet Cream and Cookies. I know I’m so boring. But it tasted so good. Well Baskin Robbins is also having their Free Scoop Night for Literarcy on May 1st. Unlike Ben & Jerry’s, it only avaliable at certain locations between the hours of 6-10pm.

*Yawn* By Golly, I think the sugar is finally wearing off.

Fashion no..no..

People never learn. If you don’t have the body for it, then don’t wear it. I was on the train, and I saw this girl wearing this corset. Not only were her breast falling out of corset, but also her bulging fat from the midriff. Speaking of bulging fat, people shouldn’t be wearing midriffs if you have an extra layer of fat on your stomach. How would you like seeing a middle age man with a pot belly wearing a midriff. I know, you’ll probably run the other way. Admit it.

Okay, you really got me started on this fashion no no. By far worse is the woman that wears low risers with a thong. It’s bad enough that you see her thong when she bends over. It’s even worse when you can see her thong when she’s standing up.

Geez.. I guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

I leave you last with the thought. What were they thinking?

Space Invaders

Okay, my biggest pet peeve is personal space. I was on the train and this lady, who was twice my size, decided that she was going to try to squeeze into the middle seat next to me. Dude! If you don’t fit, please don’t try. Eventually, she wedged herself in between this guy and me. And she had the nerve to lean back. It was pretty bad when she starts slide towards my end, when the train pulls into the station. Thank god, she got off in 5 stops.

This personal space issue, actually runs in the family. It’s one of my mum’s pet peeves. Sometimes, when I’m feeling kind of goofey, I like to stand behind her while she read her newspaper or I would sit down and stare at her. Within 30 seconds, she laughs, and tells me to go away. It so much fun tormenting my mum. It’s my only purpose in life, because she didn’t produce any siblings for me to play with. So guess what, she’s stuck with lil ‘ol me.

San Francisco vs. New York

Uh huh… This is beyond subtle hints. It’s quite apparent that CL and M. Butterfly want me to visit them in San Francisco. Avidly lobbying a campaign. I say it’s a conspiracy. They have not given me enough reasons. So why don’t we try this. We’ll start with San Francisco to first.

Eenie, meenie, meinie, moe
Catch a tiger by the toe
If he hollers
Let him go
Eenie, meenie, meinie, moe

Woo hoo! New York it is. hehehe =)

Hot.. hot.. hot

Okay, I thought it was suppose to be spring. It’s not suppose to feel like it’s 80 degrees every day. And don’t get me started on the humidity. Spring is suppose to be nice and breezy with temperatures in the 50s. At this rate, summer is going to feel like fall. This weather makes me feel so lazy. It’s like rain, you don’t want to do anything except stay in a room with air conditioning.

Subtle Hints

As usual, I logged online to check my email. And I get the following email from CL:

“reasons to come visit California! :) $187 fares” along with an attachment from hotwire.

Okay is M. Butterfly and CL trying to tell me something. Why go to cali, when the weather in NY feels like summer. Hmm.. So when is M. Butterfly and CL coming over to the east coast. Hmm…

You guys, you got to come up with a better reason.

Day at the Park

Today, I had another volunteer project. It was a lot of fun. I was to partake in a scavenger hunt. I haven’t done that since college. Ah.. that shows you how old I am. Anyway, my team the TKO, had 3 kids and 5 volunteers. We were determine to win because no one wanted to join our team. And it was winning at all cost. It was actually quite funny. There was a question in regards to the menu at Tavern on the Green. As oppose to lugging up there, one of the volunteers called Tavern on the Green for the answer. Then another volunteer had called her friend in Seattle, to get online to retrieve one of the answers for our scavenger hunt. In addition, we grilled the park ranger for some answers. Well, the instructions did not prohibit the use of cell phones. I think it would have been funny, if we had a palm pilot with internet connection. Hmm.. A scavenger hunt with a GPS would have been a lot of fun.

Actually, I think the adults were more competitive then the kids. Well in the end we won. Let’s just say none of the other teams were remotely close to our total. Shhh!!! That’s our little secret.

All in all… I’m pooped right now.

The Sweetest Thing in Life

Ah.. So last night I went to my cousin’s birthday bash. It was this big extravaganza. First we had dinner then we headed to one of my cousin’s local haunts. It was quite an interesting evening. But best thing always happens when you least expect it. My cous said the sweetest thing when he said he felt closer to me then his own brother. Then again, the age difference between my cous and me is only a year. Seriously, I always thought of my cousin more like a brother. Okay.. let’s move on before I get all sappy and sentimental.

Analyze This

Okay, I ran across this little test on SF M. Butterfly’s site, so I thought I check it out.

Your view on yourself

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of boyfriend you are looking for.

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don’t judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren’t necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people’s eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship.

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love.

You are very serious about relationships and aren’t interested in wasting time with people you don’t really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you.

You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don’t focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success?

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of?

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self?

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart, rather than your head, needs to solve.

So whatcha think? Does it sound like me.

Take the test yourself
