Today, I went to the Brooklyn Museum to see the Star Wars exhibit before it close on July 7th. Would you believe that I’ve lived in Brooklyn for a large chunk of my life, and I never been to Brooklyn Museum. It was pretty cool. Especially Yoda. You got to like the little green man. And the Ewoks too. They’re just so cute. At least they’re not annoying like Jar Jar Binks. *smile*

Today, I got an email from my distant cousin CL in response to my “updating contact info” email I sent out on March 16th. Talk about delayed response. I guess I’ll have to wait another 3 months before I hear from him again. Or should I wait 3 months before I send him my response.

A friend of mine from the San Francisco area ( who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are ) , im me to inquire how to get to Haight and Fillmore. I asked this such person why they wanted to go to Haight and Fillmore. And the person promptly told me that they wanted to go to the vintage clothing store. Though I believe this person was referring to the Haight and Ashbury area, which has a trendy bohemian vibe flooded with a slew of drug addicts. I know, it’s a weird combination. So I continue to tell my friend that they can get to Haight via the N-Judah Muni line.
In the end my friend, said “I’m asking someone that doesn’t live in San Francisco. I should be ashamed.” Yeah, you should be.

This past weekend, I thought I stopped by HMV on 86th and Lexington to check out what they had left, since that store location was closing. On the door, it was a whopping 40% off all merchandise except for sale items. Of course! So I walked down the aisle looking for some bargain DVDs. Instead, I encountered a copy of Penelope Cruz’s movie Woman on Top for $ 34.99.
What the heck! Who would buy that for $ 35 bucakaroos. It’s not even an Academy Award winning film or a 2 disk DVD set. Who does HMV think they are. Highway Robbery, I say!
So that night, I decided to hop onto the HMV website. In which, Woman on Top DVD is selling for $ 15.12 USD ($22.99 Canadian). Now, that sounds about right. Still pretty pricey for a Penelope Cruz flick.
All I can say is there ain’t no discount at the HMV on 86th and Lexington.

It seems the past 3 movies directed by Steven Spielberg, have gone past 2 hours. And “Minority Report” was no exception. It clocked in at 2 hours and 20 minutes. Yes, Daredevil was one of the trailers ( it was a bit short, though ). All during the movie, I saw several people make a beeline to the restroom. Imagine, if he was to direct “Harry Potter.” I don’t think the kids would be able to sit through 3 hour movie. We’ll never know.

This past Tuesday, I’ve been tuning into the Fox show “American Idol.” I’m so hooked. The show is just hilarious with it’s own cast of characters. I just noticed that a lot of a few of the contestants are from the defunct WB show Popstars 2. Of course, the ones that didn’t make it. If they didn’t make it on Popstars, what makes them think they can be the American Idol.
Wonder how they’re going to do. I’m kind surprise no one noticed it. I know, it’s just shameless!

It’s Lilo & Stitch at McDonalds. I’m shameless. I know I’m not under 12. But I can’t help it. I need to get a Happy Meal toy. It’s the Lilo & Stitch characters, and they bobble heads. So cute! I’ve already got 3 of the characters: Lilo, Stitch as Elvis, and David. hehehe =) Three down, and five to go.

Eh! I decided to ditch the purist mentality. And decided to download a blog template. In the past two days, I have been customizing the template to my liking. Tink.. tink.. I thought my computer was moody. I think the template is worse. Argh!!!!! But I’ve finally got it to work the way I want to. hehehe =)
