Dream that my power supply was working again

I must be going through computer withdrawal. Last night I had a dream that I woke up turned on my computer and my power supply was working. Then when I woke up this morning to turn on my computer, it was still dead. *duh*
Figures it was only a dream.

Asian Male Version Waiting to Exhale

After my friend LW’s birthday bowling bash, a bunch of us ended up at NY Noodle Town for some midnight munchies. So a bunch of us for standing in front of the restaurant waiting for the rest of our crew to get there. We all started chatting. And they started talking about dating and the whole single scene. Then it turned ugly. Well more into the Asian female bashing. It was like a scene out of the movie Waiting to Exhale but with Asian males. I’m standing there thinking just great, I’m the only female here to try to defend my gender. And of course the other Asian female had yet to arrive. *grumble* All in all I could do was put my hands in my pockets and just look at everyone innocently.

Doggie Showdown

Anyway, on my way to work today, I stopped by the Brooklyn Promenade and I saw this little dog. I forgot what kind. I just know it’s the kind Toto was in the Wizard of Oz. This doberman walked by, and gave the little dog a look, then licked his lips. For a minute, I thought the doberman was going to devour the little dog. Poor doggie.

Then and Now

Ah, can’t believe it’s been a year since September 11th. Last year, all I could do was im all my friends to make sure that they are okay. The mood is a bit somber today. Our office, actually opened at normal business hours. Before, heading to work, I thought I take a walk from Brooklyn Bridge all the way past the Stock Exchange. I was just so strange. There were people in front of Trinity Church remembering the people that were lost last year, yet there were also those tourist just gawking at the gap. So bizarre. I never realize how big the gap was until I walked past it.

One Year Anniversary

I know I’ve been slacking on updating by blog. But what do you expect, I’ve been buried under a pile of paperwork. Geez Louise! Today is a special day. It has been a year since I’ve started blogging. So what was I doing last year. Hmm.. Let me see… Oh! I went to the opening day at the US Open with my friend AC. Thanks to his company he scored some free tix to the open. But the good old dot com days are gone.

And this year, we’re all too poor to cough up the loot to watch some tennis. So instead, a bunch of us spent this weekend on the lawn of Rockefeller Center. They had this giant video screen set up that broadcast live coverage of the US Open. It was so sweet. And tonight, it was packed for the Sampras/Agassi match. Space was such a commodity. And both Alex and I were trying our best to occupy some space for Lucy. Lucy who of course got stuck at work on a Sunday. Oh wells!

It was such a great match. Though Hewitt/Agassi match was by far the best match in this tournament.

Vegging Out

The task for this holiday weekend, is to clean my room. I know it’s the never ending task. Of course, I ended up procrastinating. Instead of cleaning room yesterday, I ended spending 3 hours in front of the television watching the James Blake vs. Lleyton Hewitt match. Yes, I was vegging out. I’m hope there be another Roddick/Hewitt match this year. They were smacking the ball for about 5 hour last year. This year US Open should be interesting.

So I’m going to try to clean room today. But I think I might end up watching tennis again. It all depends on how long this rain delay is going to go on. But earlier, I took apart my computer to put new slots into my case. Bah! I couldn’t pry my cooling fan off. *grumble* So that I can put a new one in.

*Yawn* I think I’m going to go back to cleaning.
