Computer Cleaning

Can I tell you cleaning your computer is such a pain in the ass. I spent most of my Saturday morning running Norton Anti-virus and McAfee. In addition to trying to get rid of spyware that just wouldn’t go away. I ran both Spybot and Adware. Why can’t they just make one program that would find all the spyware. Argh! This is worse than cleaning my room which is the next task on the list

Jamba!

I’m all giddy with delight. Just finish knitting my 2nd scarf. This one is all mine. Then I went to the new Jamba Juice in the Time Warner building. So I’m such a happy camper right now. Glad to know I can give into my Jamba carvings during lunch. Jamba!

All Tangled Up

Ack! My headphones are tangled up with my yarn. I look like a wad of yarn on the subway. All tangle we we. And it’s taking forever to untangle. *Sighs*

On The Street

I always run past the strangest things early in the morning. Today, I was heading over to meet the some people from NY Cares down on St. Marks Street. While walking down the street, I saw this woman sashay past me. At first, I was thinking she was crazy, because it was freezing cold outside and all she was wearing was a long sleeve t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and sneakers. Definitely an obvious hooker. She looked more like a strung out drug addict looking for some smack. Perhaps she was. After she walked past me, she sashayed down the empty street, then tracked back swinging her hips side to side. She had stopped abruptly in front of this car, perched down and knocked on this guy’s car window. And all I did was smirk.

Row, row, row your Boat

This morning, I was rushing to get to my NY Cares project with Row New York. It was my first project in 2 years. I know, I’ve been slacking. We went to the Flushing boathouse to clean and put a fresh coat of paint before the new season. Our project leader Tina drives an orange SUV. And on our way to the boathouse, Brad this 6 foot tall got into the trunk of the SUV. He looked like he was squished into the trunk, but he volunteered to go in. Would have made a funny picture if I had my camera. In the car, I was in Melissa sat in the trunk and she made faces at everyone that drove by. Perhaps, that’s why this guy cut us off, got out of his car and gave us the finger. Talk about road rage. He definitely needed to take an anger management class. It was a lot of fun and met some pretty interesting people. I have another project in 2 weeks with my friend JC. *smile

I Give Up

So after making my purchase yesterday, I decided to go back to the Lauren Meriken sale to get this multi color convertible clutch. I realize this bag would match more of my clothes. Bah!

On top of this shopping addiction, I’ve been trying to kick coffee for a week. I wonder if there is a caffeine anonymous. Let’s see how long it will be before I fall off the bandwagon. Scrunch nose. I was extremely moody without my coffee. Damn, this caffeine addiction.

Sample Chic

Today I stopped by Lauren Meriken sample sale. I first saw one of her convertible clutch in Lucky a few months ago. It was retail valued at $285, and just my luck it was at the sample sale for $85. Way cool!

I ended up buying a The Covertible Clutch and the Medium Oliva Port. All I can say is neato.

High and Low

So my cell phone has finally reach it’s last leg. After getting coffee in it, I was able to prolong it’s life for one for month with some contact cleaner. So I’ve been looking at getting a new cell phone. Hmm.. I guess I can move over to another cell phone providers but they all suck. Except for Verizon, which is what I’m on. Of course, they also have the worse looking phone. Recently, I have been lusting over the Samsung A530. But do I really need the color screen. Sure it’s a cute phone. Then again, it only has 160 minutes of talk time. So the battery life probably really sucks. I really want the Siemen SL56 but it’s only avaliable via AT & T. In the end the high tech gal opted for the low tech phone the LG VX3100. I figured I needed a phone with more talk time and SMS ability. So I guess I’m happy. Plus the phone only cost me 20 bucks.
